Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 21, 2026

Who we are and what this policy covers

United Protect Insurance LLC is an independent insurance agency at 4974 N University Dr, Lauderhill, FL 33351. We help people and businesses buy auto, home, commercial, life, health and trucking insurance from the insurance companies we’re appointed with. In this policy, “we,” “us” and “our” mean United Protect Insurance LLC.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to:

  • our website, unitedprotectinsurance.com, and our quote site, quotes.unitedprotectinsurance.com
  • our online quote tool and website chat
  • information you give us by phone, email, text or in our office

When you buy a policy, the insurance company that issues it also collects and uses your information under its own privacy notice. We’ll give you that notice, or tell you where to find it.

We don’t take payment card or bank details through our website. Premium payments go directly to the insurance company.

How we use information

We use your information to:

  • prepare quotes and compare rates from the insurance companies we represent
  • submit applications, bind coverage and issue policies through those companies
  • service your policies, including changes, renewals, billing questions and claims help
  • contact you about your quote or policy in the way you agreed to
  • confirm your identity and prevent fraud
  • keep the records insurance regulators require
  • improve our website and services

We don’t use your information to make decisions about your coverage or price. The insurance company that issues your policy makes those decisions.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with other companies for their own marketing.

We share it only as needed to quote and service your insurance, or as the law allows or requires:

  • Insurance companies we represent, to get quotes, submit applications and issue and service policies. Today these are Progressive, GEICO, Bristol West, Farmers, Kemper, United Automobile Insurance Company, Clearcover and GAINSCO.
  • Rating and reporting services, such as comparative raters, motor vehicle record providers, claims databases and consumer reporting agencies, used to prepare accurate quotes.
  • Service providers that run our business, such as website hosting, email delivery, our agency management system and our phone system. They may use your information only to provide services to us, and must protect it.
  • Legal and regulatory reasons, such as responding to the Florida Department of Financial Services or Office of Insurance Regulation, a court order or law enforcement request, or to prevent fraud.
  • A business transfer, if our agency is merged with or sold to another agency, which would then follow this policy for your information.

Because we share information only in these ways, which federal and Florida privacy law allow without an opt-out, you don’t need to opt out of anything. If that ever changes, we’ll update this policy and give you a chance to opt out first.

Calls, texts and emails

We contact you only about the quote or policy you asked about, and only in the ways you agreed to.

  • When you request a quote online or through our chat, we ask whether we may call, text or email you about it. Agreeing is not required to buy insurance from us. You can always call us instead.
  • If you agree, we may contact you at the number and email you gave us, which may include calls or texts sent using automated technology. Message and data rates may apply.
  • To stop texts, reply STOP. To stop calls or emails, tell us on the phone, use the unsubscribe link in an email, or contact us using the details below. We’ll honor your request promptly.
  • Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still contact you about policies you hold with us, such as renewals, payment notices or claims.

Cookies, analytics and social media

Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar tools to work properly and to understand how visitors use it.

  • Essential cookies keep the site working, for example remembering your place in a form.
  • Analytics, such as Google Analytics, tell us which pages people visit, in aggregate.
  • Third-party content, such as web fonts and social media feeds, may be loaded from those companies’ servers, which can see your IP address.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works, though some features may not. Our quote tool and chat don’t use cookies to store your answers. We don’t currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because there’s no common standard for them.

How we protect and keep information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, including:

  • encrypted connections (HTTPS) on our website, quote tool and chat
  • access limited to staff and service providers who need it to serve you
  • secure, password-protected systems and accounts

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we’ll notify you as required by Florida law, which generally calls for notice within 30 days.

We keep information for as long as we need it to quote and service your insurance, and as long as insurance laws and regulations require us to keep records. After that, we delete or securely destroy it.

Your choices and rights

You can:

  • See your information. Ask us what personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct it. Ask us to fix anything that’s wrong. If an insurance company or consumer reporting agency holds the information, we’ll help you contact them.
  • Ask us to delete it, if you never became a client. We may need to keep some records to meet legal requirements.
  • Stop calls, texts or emails, as described in Calls, texts and emails.
  • Get adverse action information. If an insurance company declines your application or charges more based on a consumer report, it will tell you which reporting agency it used and how to get a free copy.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We’ll respond within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first.
